wahlergebnisse.io shows every election poll for the Bundestag, the state parliaments and the European Parliament, calculates polling averages, seat distributions and coalitions from them, and compares pollsters by what they measured before elections. No newsroom, no opinion, verifiable figures.
Who runs the site
Bernard Zitzer, SEO consultant and operator of data projects, based in Berlin. The site is an independent data project and belongs to no publisher, party or polling institute. Neutrality
- The operator is not a member of any party and does not work for any party, parliamentary group or party-affiliated foundation.
- All rules are disclosed and apply equally to every party: which polls enter the average, how seats are distributed, which coalitions are shown. Set out in the Method.
- Texts on the poll pages are generated from the figures, not written. They contain no judgement.
- Changes to rules or data are documented with a date in the Method.
Where the data comes from
Polls from the open database of dawum.de under the Open Database License, imported hourly. Official election results from the Federal Returning Officer and the state returning officers. All calculations based on them are our own work and are available as JSON and CSV for reuse.
Funding
The site is funded through advertising once it has enough visitors, and through nothing else. There is no paid content, no commissions from parties or pollsters and no sale of user data. Widgets, images and data are free; the only condition is a link to the source.
Report an error
A wrong figure, a missing poll, a result that is not right: an email to info@bernard.digital is all it takes. Corrections are applied promptly and noted in the Method.
